The Pondering Pool.

This is my favorite image of all time. It's a card produced by The Pondering Pool and it says everything I would like to say to members of my family and extended contacts. I really am working on it.

Discharged with a hot, steam iron. I will over dye this and put the photo up tomorrow.

Discharge paste applied through a stencil bought from The Thread Studio onto dyed silk satin from Rae.

Applied freehand through a squeeze bottle.

Silk rods dyed in Ironbark.

Today's task is set for the dyeing shed again, do any felt makers take days off?

EEEEEK

Pendant. Embellished felt backed onto copper with clay medallion.

It's difficult to post photos when you leave your camera in the boot of your husband's car. Oh well, tomorrow for them. Taught another great dyeing day at Beautiful Silks yesterday. I was glad to be working because the anniversary of Black Saturday was like an invisible burden I was carrying. The doco on tv last night was way too much for me and I closed myself into the studio and made up some lovely texture packs for the upcoming workshop in Halls Gap.

A Funny Family.

As weird as it sounds, Bri was shooting me with an imaginary fish gun. How it works I have no idea. Usually I have to threaten to get her to model for me, obviously she would like to slap me with a real fish. Except there is no way Bri would touch one.

This is necklace, a couple of different ways to wear this. It can be strung around the neck up to three times.

Took the girls to the pool and crocheted a necklace using silk yarn and a mix of beads that Rae and I make up. I must have looked funny crouched over a bowl of beads. Bri modeled for me. It's not always easy to get her to be serious.

A Slow Start

It's toooo hot for a little dog. He usually sits under my feet in the dyeing shed, but today he deserted me for under the air conditioner in the house. Sook.

Dale's silk ready to be pack in post bag.

Unique colourway. Goodness knows what I used.

Good looking clothesline again.

It has been a slow start to the dyeing year for me. Kids are finally back at school but some days are just tooooo hot in the shed. Here is todays offings. Just using up dye and dyeing silk fibre for Dale.
